By the way, when I removed the feedhorn cover yesterday it was completely full of dried hornet nest. That's the 3rd or 4th time I found it full and no matter what I do they manage to find a way back in.

Looking at the picture you posted, they are crawling in between the feedhorn cover and the scalar ring through a gap created by the LNB support arms.

Kinda. The gap was sealed but the plastic base for the cover split and separated making a nice hotel door for them.
