how to measure a cband dish

i have a lead on a bud and i looks to be 7.5ft

i need to know how to measure the dish is it from the center out or one side to the other

So I have a geosat pro 1.2 m dish that measures 4.5 ft h. X 4 ft w how much more room will a 7.5ft cband dish take up

In my case, 7.5' is exactly the width and height of the mesh BUD I had up. If this is the same in your case it will use up 1 foot 9 inches more space to the left, 1 foot 9 inches more space to the right, if your pole is in the exact same place and you're aiming at the same satellite. Am I understanding what you are after ?
