How to recieve HD channels from Aqous TV

Hey there guys i just purchased a 52 sharp AQOUS LCd and i hooked it all up yesterday. I have direct TV hooked up to it and and when i search the channels the HD channels dont come up. I even tried to hook up a regular antenna to it to see if it can pick up any channels. I have that antenna hooked up to another lcd (LG 22") and it picks up all the channels. So if there is something specific that i need or im not doing, please let me know im going nuts......

That set will not tune satellite channels diretly. For that you needa n HD receiver and it needs to be hooked up by component video or better yet HDMI.

As for OTA it should be able to do that. Have you done a scan?

Make Sure you have the Antenna Connected to the ATSC Digital Tv tuner Input on the back of that set. Many new tv's have (2) F connector in one for digital and one for analog and then do a Scan.

I tried hooking up the antenna to the back, there is only one RF connector, so it has to be that one. I tried the scan when it was hooked up and it didnt find any digital stations, only analog. It says that the digital search is dissabled

Page 17. Make sure you select "air". I guess you could try cable and select "analog and digital". Does you 22" have a digital tuner or is it just analog?

it has a digital tuner and gets all the channels

so your getting digital channels like 2.1 2.2 4.1 4.4?

Make sure you select air and then digital and analog signals. If you dont get any digital but analog you may have a bad tv.
