hr 22 question

I have an HR 22 DVR and am trying to use it with an 18" round sat, I hook it up and select the 18" round but it doesn't aquire the satelite. I know the connection is good because it works with an SD receiver. Am I missing something in the receiver options to find the sat? I'm not worried about the dvr functions I just want to be able to watch tv at my cabin.

The HR22 set to use the 18" dish and aimed at 101 should work just fine.
You didn't give us the signal strengths on 101.
