you are correct....it isn't a lease. believe the cost is $599.00. sounds like a nice unit. but i'm not sure when it will be available. i'd like to buy one.

Solid Signal HR21 pro
They are an owned unit.
Very similiar to the HR21, if I remember right has a bigger hard drive, metal casing that is mountable, and option to use optical HDMI to cover long distances.
Other than that, it's about the same.
Unless you specifically want to own, I'd get a leased HR21 for $199 and an external hard drive around 1TB.
