I am looking to possibly switch from Dish to Direct and currently have a vip 722 receiver. Does anyone know how to get (2) HR23 receivers without paying a $199 fee for 2nd receiver. Thanks!

Call and ask? Seriously, you may get a good deal by just asking.

I've heard of some getting the second for $99, some getting it for $199, rarely anyone gets a second for free.

Your credit score may affect the offers they offer as well.

If you have AAA call through that number for $10 off for 24 months.
If you don't have AAA, get a referral and get $10 off for 10 months. (Let me know if you don't have any friend/family with Directv and I'll get you one).

Both are in addition to the regular promotion.

Two separate accounts under 2 different names at the same location might be an answer. I'm wondering why you are so special that you think you should get a 2nd DVR? I didn't and I signed up a few months ago.
