D*TV is installing a new line into my recently finished basement along with changing the HD receiver upstairs to the new 5 line w/local HD channels and getting rid of the antenna on top of my house. Has anyone had this done recently? Is there anything I should be on the lookout for? The downstairs location will not have a TV at the time they install it but they can verify the setup on the upstairs HD Tv. I'm having the new TV delivered and setup a day later. Also, can I use the old HD receiver in a different room with a non-HD TV? Thanks for any input.

It depends on your location. I'm in CT and was promised local HDs but they couldn't totally deliver on their promise. I requested the New York feeds which I received, with the exception of CBS. I like the New York stations better than my locals.

You can use your old receiver on a non HD tv. The receiver will need to be set to 480i output.

Thanks 4 the input

Thanks everyone, I'll post any trouble or issues.
