DIRECTV offers smaller programmers an opportunity to buy airtime on our programming lineup. Inspiration, channel 364, is one of the networks that paid DIRECTV to air its channel. Unfortunately, Inspiration decided to no longer purchase that airtime as of 1/31/14. DIRECTV did not drop the network, Inspiration simply decided they no longer wanted to purchase airtime.

Check out Dish's and Directv's Facebook page. People actually watch it and are willing to switch to Dish when all they can do is switch over to Hallmark, TV Land, or some other religious channel and they got most of their shows.

So what do those same people do when the Inspiration channel decides that it can't afford to be on DISH either ?
Blaming Dish then ?
It still COST to have them in the programming lineup ...
Where are these GREAT ratings and loyal viewership ?
If the ratings were that great, they wouldn't be paying thier own way.
I agree with you somewhat. I happen to like this channel, and although I don't want to switch providers, I will miss it at least a little. (I'm a conservative Christian and all that.) I do think that maybe they don't charge providers is because it's a family-oriented channel. Is it gone permanently or are they in negotiations?
It costs the provider money to recode it and put it back up on the satellite...but I'm sure you already knew that.
I like how they say "family friendly" then they have ads for boner pills.

According to Directv INSP paid to be on DTV lineup and INSP didn't renew the contract to stay on the lineup.
