I have DTVHD currently. Right know my system is hooked up with copper plated RCA cables is their a big enough difference in PQ to change to monster cables?

Not "Monster" as that is just a marketed brand name, but maybe you should look into upgrading to high quality component or DVI instead of that RCA connection.
