I am working on a satellite decoder front end and now I need to measure the intermodulation products IIP2 and IIP3.

Does anybody know how to measure them and what equipment do I need?
Also a good article or any info. would be most appreciated.

Thanks

It's been 5 years since I did any RF design but a good source of information is in the applications notes and white papers on the Agilent technologies website. I imagine other RF test equipment manufacturers have similar info on them but I would start there.

In the very least you will need two RF signal generators and a good spectrum analyzer. I've only used Agilent (formerly HP) spectrum analyzers in the past so I can't compare them to others on the market but I've always liked their test equipment.
