Hi guys

i just wonder if Mpeg-4 is free to air or i have to pay to watch.

thank u for any threads.

If the signal is not encrypted, it is FTA and you can watch the service if your receiver supports MPEG-4.

NHK for example at 58 West is MPEG 4 HD and has an awesome picture that is unencrypted.

its both...MPEG4 is just the way its transmitted. Normally its MPEG2

advantage of MPEG4 is they can fit more channels in a smaller transponder.

If the channel is MPEG4 it will scan in on a blind scan but on most receivers it will show under the radio portion because it cant figure out the video pid.

couple examples of MPEG4
Fashion TV on 97W KU
Saskatchewan Learning Network on 111.1 KU

Morning Everyone
Sorry I jumped in here but does a list of HD MPEG4 channels by sat already exist? Thanks in advance!!
