Hi, Everyone:

I have a question for my friend who has Dish network.
My friend's landlord no long wants to let him have a Dish in his yard.
Is there a way that he can keep dish network and use it without having a dish in his yard ,like wireless. Or is there away to get wireless a reciever or a device of some sort that let
him get his service wirelessly or by having his Dish moved houses down the street and some how get his channels transmitted down the street. He is referring to a legal way, not stealing it or something like that, for he is paying for it. I as this because it cost too much to cance your service, just because your landlord does'nt want you to have Dsih anymore.

Sincerley,
Shirley J.

From the FCC Fact Sheet on Placement of Antennas:

If this applies then the landlord has no say-so in the matter.

If is not attached to the building or in a common area, you are fine. My mother has had tenants install DirectTV dishes on a new roof, not happy about that. A pole would have been much better and even in the tenants exclusive use area.

There is also the slingbox. I haven't used it, but it seems like the solution you are looking for.
