I just had my install today and got the HR21 HDDVR and I was wondering if there's any way to create my own Channel List so I don't have to weed through all these channels.

Yes. From the menu, select Favorites, then Edit Channels. You can have two custom lists.
If you're asking if it's possible to edit the 'channels I receive' so they are truly only the channels you receive, I've never figured out a way to do it.
I personally find that unacceptable - they should label it 'all channels' or 'channels I could receive'. For it so say 'channels I receive', that's what it should be.

Yes, "Channels I receive" is a bit of a misnomer. I originally thought that the the receiver/satellite communication somehow knew a particular person's programming package and displayed only those. Not so.
