I'm curious about some of the signal levels I've been getting on some of my satellites so I wanted to know if this is normal, or if something is wrong with my alignment. I am currently pointing at 101 W, AMC 4.
11706-H-2.170 - 46%
11822-H-5.700 - 93%
11860-H-28.138- 66%
11983-H-5.900 - 80%
12020-H-2.034 - 86%
12120-H-30.000- 46%
11731-V-5.000 - 66%
11932-V-5.000 - 86%
That's just a few, and the signal level is the quality level. My Classic NA only has a quality level, not both signal and quality.
I don't see how I could do much better than the 86-93%, but, the ones in the 40's and 60's have me wondering.
I only had signal in the upper 40's on a feed that I posted about earlier on G 16, but, I really don't know how much power they pump into feeds. We don't have the weather right now to do any tweaking so if any is needed, it will have to wait.
I'm using only a DiSEqC switch between the motor and receiver. The switch is out in the weather, and I don't have the two unused ports protected because I don't know what to use. I have about 50 ft. or less of RG-6.
I'm using USALS for all of my motoring and switching to DiSEqc 1.2 and "bumping" the dish east / west does NOT improve signal, it makes it worse, so I would think it would have to be motor slop or elevation if it is anything. I'm located at 62040 and have my motor pole mounted on a 2 1/4" pole in the ground.
Thanks.
