This one surprises me a little bit...but seeing that "Man-genius'' was not a very good turms with management...I knew that they would find HIM responsible for the collapse.

I agree. I though he should've gotten at least one more season. was he completely responsible for bringing Favre in?

This season's meltdown of the JETS is complete.I think Favre was playing lame the last 1/3 of the season.I think Mangini got a raw deal.He should have had a chance to rebound in 08/09.

Again, as I said in a previous post. the coaching pool is shallow and here is one coach who with management support, could have been good . . . ridiculous move once again by the Jets.

Do we see Manginius going to Detroit to coach Sam Bradford

Are you kidding me? Mangini had all the tools this year. He has zero life in him. Cant fire up his team to save his life.

They lost to:

Seattle
Oakland
San Fran

All sub 500 teams...

Mangini was\is terrible..Good Ridence

Well he does have the prerequisite covered, he has a "m" in his initials. Morningwheg, Marriucci, Marinelli, Millen. See where I'm going here?

Mike Shanahan's Broncos lost to FOUR sub .500 teams (Chiefs, Raiders, Jaguars, Bills) and pulled off an all-time collapse... yet's he not fired.

maybe Farve is next

maybe, maybe not. if anything he'll just leave on his own. don't know how much he's interested in going through all these coaching changes at this point in his career. plus no one knows how good or bad they might be after the end of all this for next season.

Manidiot should have stayed a high-priced assistant. He is a total flop as a head coach. The Jets played like they couldn't wait to get the season over. No fire. Jets brought in expensive talent and still couldn't get to the playoffs. Falcons / Ravens get in with rookie QB's. Mangini=LOSER

Totally agree. The team had no life in them, and the man had no life in him. He bears the most responsibility. That's how it works.

Favre should go too. Did you hear his pep talk to the team in the huddle before the game? He basically said 'hey, if we win we win, if we lose we lose.' Ray Lewis he's not.

Bring in people who care about the uniform as much as the fans care about it.

Different in Denver though....he is ALL EVERYTHING there. There are only two guys that can fire him in Denver, the owner and HIMSELF...those are the only two he has to answer to.

What a joke. Shanahan has to be the most OVERRATED coach out there now. He never won a Super Bowl: John Elway and Terrell Davis did. The best proof of that is that they've won 1 playoff game since Elway left (which is coming up to 10 years now.) They're also famous for starting off strong then sputtering out in the end. It's too bad that fans in Denver are too short sighted and ignorant to realize that Shanahan will only ever have 2 trophy's to his name, and that holding on to him will do more bad than good.

it's because of shanahan that they got those 2 superbowls. elway was looking like marino on his way out ringless and here comes shanahan, implements this great system of running offense and they win two championships. it's true since elway left they've struggled but who wouldn't after your legendary qb goes? so to me he's not overrated, he was a great offensive coach with the 49ers and got a ring over there and then 2 more over here as head coach.elway can thank him and his running schemes that got john what he needed, what every team needs to win the big one,a running game. he deserves plenty of credit but i would be the 1st one to admit that it's been 10 years and not much has been accomplished during this period so maybe it's time for a change but to say he's overrated isn't true.

Believe....I agree with you 200%....but he is the Big Kahuna in Denver...

this is the best they've done after elway
