Joey 3.0

I can also confirm that the Joey3 is much faster than the Joey2. I’d say the Joey3 is at least 2 or 3 times as fast as the Joey2. Joey3 is very close to the speed of the H3 especially when navigating the menus. Night and day performance. On the new Joey3 we had to re-sign in with Netflix credentials, but it works fine after that.

Does the Joey 3 have built in Bluetooth for headphones like the Joey 4K or do you need to add the USB Bluetooth adapter like the Joey 2?

You need the adapter

Hopefully the next Joey will have it built in. Then they can exclude the USB port and make the device even smaller. Possibly make it like a “stick” type device. If they could integrate something like the wireless Joey AP it might be possible.

Even the SJ that has 2 built in doesn’t. Probably could but doesn’t. If they were more popular before the H3 came out dish might have added it but they seem to be pretty uncommon.
The two tuners in the SuperJoey are for use in the Hopper only, there is no connection to the Joey portion of the receiver.

Joey 3/ Joey 3.0 is the same as 4K Joey
No, they are completely different. 4K Joey is the only Joey model capable of 4K, and even it does not do it very well. (No HDR support)

Joey 3.0 is the smallest, thinnest model of Joey, with the fastest response time to remote control commands. It is much better, except for the fact that it does not do 4K.

Also, Joey 3.0 is the standard Joey that you will get included now with any new Dish installation or receiver upgrade. Dish charges you an extra one-time fee for an upgrade to a 4K Joey.

Sadly. Hopper 2000's and Hopper/Slings still come with Joey 1's on new connects and upgrades, making Joey 2's basically useless now..... smh
