I think that the board readers in general are tired of this and the software update side of this is closed.I'd like to hear how the tech visit turned out. And any resolution.
The Joeyv4 has a screen to request a software update. With the original Joey it failed every time. With the new one it failed once or twice. Over night it updated to a still out of date software and then I was able to update it using this screen.Joeys do not do their own updating.
It is done by the Hopper.
If the Hopper does not update the Joeys, it is a problem with the Hopper, not the Joeys.
The Joeys are just a dumb terminal off the Hopper.
The Hopper controls whatever goes on on the Joey.
The Joey sends requests to the Hopper for programming to be played or requests to make recordings, that's about it.
