Joey stuck in reboot loop error 981

One of my Joey's this morning is stuck in a reboot loop, after an hour of rebooting and returning to this screen I unplugged it. Any idea what this could be?

It was possibly updating and failed or had a corrupt file. Is the Hopper Ok? I would plug it back in and leave it for a while longer. Boot recovery can take up to 4 hours to complete.

Like Lucky said. I had one on the bench the other day that took about 2 hours to do the boot recovery and then it was fine.

So far 6 hours and counting.

Both hoppers and the other 2 joeys are fine.

It's still hooked up to coax? Maybe try rebooting the Hopper it's linked to.

Tried rebooting hopper it is still hooked up to the coax. It has now been stuck in a reboot loop since yesterday. I will contact DiRT when I get home tomorrow as I am on my way out now.

If you contact DIRT (or a CSR, this one isn't hard), the 981 error indicates that the Joey will have to be replaced. Got to admit, this is the first time I have ever seen that 981 error on a Joey. Not even sure I've seen it on a Hopper.
