Just got my motor. Need some infos.

I can't reach true south sat.
I use USALS. I put my lat/long. Ask the motor to go to IA6.

Then I'm trying to aim the dish (not easy up there in the ladder)
I now have strong signal (+80%) on H TPs.
But 0% quality on all the V.

Tried many things, still nothing.

Any idea why?

When you say you have strong signal on the H TPs, do you have a decent quality reading as well? Perhaps you have to rotate the LNBF 90 degrees. What brand LNBF are you using? Some have screwy 0 degree marks for skew...

Yes , I'm talking quality readings. I have the Invacom universal. The skew is at 0, the motor move the dish.

Now I'm thinking I was on the wrong sat but i don't know which one.

I found 6-7 TPs like: 1200 H 30.000 ( All H / 30.000) But power scan found no channels.

I was wondering what happen if you are on a DBS signal with a linear lnb?
Do you find any TP at all? Or the lnb is just blind?

Could you be at 91ºW Instead of 93º?
There are several 30000 transponders there, and pretty much nothing to see.

edit: 83ºW has about 7 transponders with SR=30000, but I assume you're not that far off.
