Just switched to D* from E*

kab,i noticed the same thing when i switched to directv last year. the hd channels for directv do look a little better than dish. hemi has mentioned this also. it's a little sharper and less grainy.

And I have said the same thing many times as well.
It is not a HUGE difference, but it is noticable for me anyway

It helps to do research instead of going from memory.

In not-so-round figures, DISH has 177 SD LIL markets and 135 HD LIL markets versus DIRECTV's 150 SD LIL markets and 125 HD LIL markets.

I haven't counted up the total LIL channels carried, but I'd guess that the HD stations total in DIRECTV's favor.

Dish also has more Local channels in my DMA then D* does currently. E* also had my DMA locals in SD 2 years before D* did, But D* had My DMA HD locals First.
But I could see E* having more SD local markets covered.
