Is there any way to keep the DirecTv "info" panel up on a channel all the time?
Specifically, I'd like to do this when listening to the music channels, so I don't have to keep hitting "info" to see what song is playing.
Thanks!

My receivers display the full song info on-screen during the entire track without toughing INFO. What make & model do you have?

Most D* receivers will turn off the info display after a period of time(3-4 songs)
to avoid "screen burn" a real problem especially for Plasma TV's. The white
lettering on a black screen, could/would leave a lasting image. You really would
not want this. Direct view(CRT's) don't have this problem.

Any projection set using a bulb (LCD, DLP, LCOS, etc) and flat panel LCD's don't have that problem either...

LCD projectors can and will burn if left on a static image for a long time. What usually burns is the polarizing filters. And on most projectors, they are part of the LCD panels, requiring replacing the assembly, not a cheap repair.

And I speak from experience as a repair tech, having done it several times.
