Hmm, does this mean that 441 is ready and they are moving on or does this mean they are back to the drawing board...

Hooked up my wireless bridge and worked great, so far, total time 5 min.
Still asked for a phone line on the Dish Home, 1,1,1 add programming.
I would call to change programming anyhow.

Received on both of mine - router showing two new IP addresses in use, Menu 6-1-9 confirms that they are on-line.

One step closer to being able to schedule recordings via HTTP!

Stability appears to be fine so far (after my post update manual reboot). No word on if the tuner enhancement (previously rolled out in L4.09 and later rolled back) are included in this revision. Can anyone confirm this? We've had issues with our local CBS affiliate, showing as 100% signal strength, but with frequent "freezes" and occasional "loss of signal".

I'm holding off on any external drive purchase (yes most of us who can read understand NOT UNTIL AUGUST 15th Scott ;) ) until you brave people (you know who you are) report back on if their 622 works with any drive over 750GB. Support for drives "up to" 750GB is the party line, but some believe that some (perhaps brand name) 1TB (1.5TB) drives may work. If I'm going to purchase an external drive, I'm going with the largest (yet reasonably sized) drive that I can afford.

Cheers!

One thing I've noticed, that I'm not sure is new or something I have overlooked.

Looking at my recording schedule, I recall seeing "1" and "2" icons, indicating which tuner said programming will record from. What I don't recall ever having seen is an icon representing an "antenna" for programming scheduled to record from an OTA source.

Is this new, or am I just not very observant? :)

my 622

is there a way to force the download on my current 622? Shutting off both tuners will that do the trick or just waiting for my serial # to get the hit on the overnight downloads??

Thanks
Mike

I believe this is new. Will be a nice feature for my wife as I haven't received the update yet!

None that I know of Mike. The deployment appears to be tied to serial numbers, so if it isn't on the initial list, it wouldn't be receiving it.

Don't worry. Not receiving the update isn't always the worst thing. In the event there are bugs, you'll get to sit back and laugh at all of us expressing our frustration.

I'm no power user like Scott and Hall, but I haven't had any issues as yet. I am also watching my local CBS affiliate, and I have had no signal break ups (100% signal strength in the past resulted in frequent picture freeze and loss of signal messages on recorded content).

Cheers,
Spence
