Larger ext HDD for Coolsat 8100 HD

Where can I find info to use a larger ext HDD for the Coolsat 8100 HD? I noobie to FTA but not sat or PC. So I would like to use a larger drive than the listed max of 160 Gb for the ext HDD.

The 8100hd says in spec that it takes up to a 500GB via usb 2.0.

sounds about right. I thought though it **might** be able to handle a 750GB drive. I dont have the 8100 but the 8000 so I cant test the PVR (no PVR in the 8000)

I've used a 500GB on my 8100, and it worked fine. I have a 1000 laying around, but it's currently formatted in NTFS, so I've never tried that. If I get a chance, I'll reformat it in FAT32 and give it a try.
