Excalibur is a terrific movie. Most interesting/entertaining portrayal of Merlin and the whole Arthurian tale that I've seen to-date. Unfortunately, even way back in the Laserdisc days, they didn't have that great of a transfer of it (probably didn't have the original source materials available), and my DVD of it is about the same PQ/AQ as the Laserdisc. I don't plan on purchasing the BD of it unless they can get the original source elements and do a nice remastering job on it...

Well, not much action, and a real cheeseball ending. Nothing like I expected, at a 2hrs 15 mins, little long.

The Fighter. Meh! Found it difficult to get through. Hard to feel much empathy with the characters. And despite the hype and comparisons to Rocky, FAR from one of the better boxing pictures in my book.
