For a few years companies have been importing those steel 6 and 8 foot c band dishes.

What, I want to know, how come they have not been importing mesh aluminum dishes?

Let's compare steel to mesh aluminum.

A steel dish can and will rust out. I've seen steel pizza dishes rust out in less then 5 years.

A solid dish is like a sail in the wind because there are no holes for wind to pass through!

A steel dish is heavier too!

Aluminum can corrode, but a good quality aluminum can last ages!

Do china factories make mesh aluminum dishes? You betcha!

I think the fta hobby might pick up a little if someone like WSI or Galaxy Marketing imports some 6 to 8 foot mesh dishes!
