The dish has been working fine up til about 2 days ago.
I went outside and checked the 10' wire mesh dish and everything
seemed to be ok. I have made no changes to the hardware since I got
the dish working.

Stats: Titanium Asc1(7-2016), Linkbox 9000i(7-2016),C and KU lnb(7-2016).
Same software for the Linkbox 9000i. Linkbox software: Boot v 1.1,
Main code v1.32, See code v 1.421, Tp date 1.2.5. Whole house surge
protector. Surge protector for the Linkbox and Titanium Asc1. They are
turned off when not in use.

I am able to get Intelsat21 just fine. Signal strength is 98.
Amc9 is coming in with a 98 signal strength. However the scan
took almost 20 minutes to do. It should be about 2 to 3 minutes.
Ses2 is coming in but not much on it and the scan is extremely slow.
The signal strength on Galaxy17 never got above 49.
Same for Galaxy3c.
I used to get tons of stuff on Galaxy19. There are 25 transponders
and they all have a signal strength of 49. I quit at this point as
I am lost.
If I have to load new software it will have to be with a usb stick.
Is that my problem????? Surely the Linkbox should last more than 6
months. Guess I can use the directions from fftabeta.com to update
the software if needed.

If I have left anything out that you need to help me just ask and
I will try yo supply it.
Thanks,
jps

I don't have that receiver. I hope someone that does will be able to help you out. Good luck. I know that with the Azbox line that usually will help on a lot of things.

I have the 9000I local and havent ever had that issue. I do think it does take a long time to do a blind scan with this receiver, at least compared to some of the others i have, but its still way faster then the wetek play 2. When i was scanning in sats with my linkbox id start it and go do something else, usually something time consuming. One thing i have been noticing is that I occasionally will need to bump my dish a few clicks east or west and then back again later thru out the day from about 91w to 103w especially on ku. Only noticed having to do this on c-band with the 97w mux we had for a while. Its always been this way though. my 90cm dish works flawlessly though but the 9000i local wont run my motor on that dish though dont know why.

Have you tried tweaking the dish actuator numbers?

I did a factory reset. It did help somewhat.
Galaxy 19 which had the most stuff now has almost nothing on it.
Again Intelsat21 and amd9 are coming in just fine.

I think I need to upgrade the software/firmware but don't know
how or where to get it.
Does the Titanium Asc1 also need a software upgrade???
Again how and where...
Thank for any help.

If you have wifi internet you can connect your linkbox to your wifi and download and install it that way. Dont know for sure where you would download the firmware from. There is a firmware update for the asc-1 and i did it to mine right out of the box, you can get that from titaniums website.

The ASC1 does not need an update. Your unit already has the latest firmware. Slow scan has nothing to do with the dish positioner. It is only the receiver.

There might be newer firmware for the 9000i, but the version of firmware has nothing to do with the slow scan or limited channels found after the Factory Reset.

After the Factory Reset, did you configure each satellite again for LO, switch type motor control, etc.? Are you doing a "Blind Scan" to log all transponders and channels? Do not do a "Satellite Scan" as this scan type only finds channels from preloaded transponders and likely nit to find all available services.

As I answered in another forum: I suspect the problem is in the switching used for the C/KU lnb.
He reported not getting all the transponders he once had... and getting NEW transponders he never got before. ;)

I had a very similar problem when my 22Khz switch went bad. I tested with the switch removed...All was good, so I ordered a spare switch.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Thanks guys for responding.
I agreed at least I don't have problems with the Titanium, Asc1.

I did do a factory reset and it seemed to help somewhat.
I set the dish at Intelsat21 at click count 1.
Then I went to the Satellite Selection screen and set Intelsat 21 to 1.

Next I went to the Antenna Setup screen and entered the following:
Lnb Freq - 5150, Transponder ?, Diseqc1.0 - port1, Diseqc1.1 - Disable,
22k - off, Polarity - Auto, Motor Diseqc - Diseqc1.2

Then I went to the Installation Screen:
Transponder - ?, Scan Option - all, Scan Channel - TV, Network Search - no,
Scan Mode - Blind and started the scan.

May be I have the voltages set wrong on the Asc1. I did not intentionally change them
but something might have. I know the info is here on this web site but I might
never be able to find it.

Because you have a combo CKU LNBF, you need to have a switch programmed into each satellite position of the 9000i. What type of switch do you have 22 kHz or DiSEqC? What switch port is connected to the C-band side of the LNBF? What port of the switch is connected to the KU section? For all C-band satellites you must program the correct switch port. For all KU satellites you must program the correct switch port.

Also all C-band satellites must have LO frequency setting of 5150. All KU band satellites must have LNB type standard with LO 10750.

Unless you did a reset on the ASC1 all settings would remain the same as they were before. If you did do a reset on the ASC1 the LNB power needs to be set to 13 V: vertical 18 V: horizontal.

I have the same disequ switch I had when I got the Asc1. No 22Khz.
I did have trouble back then and had the lnbs wired backwards.
But fixed that and have not touched it since I got the Asc1.
I have never done a reset of the Titanium Asc1.
This is what I see on the Titanium Asc1:
Lnb Type Set:
H 18v V13v
H 13v V18V
Fixed on 18v

I set all sats at 5150 that are C band.

I was unable to edit my post.
I really do not understand your comments about the voltages
and what I see on the Asc1.
Let me know and I will try to fix....

1. On the ASC1 display, LNB Type Menu the arrow on the right side of the LCD indicates the selected LNB output voltage. Is the pointer on the right side beside H 18v V 13v? If so, this is the correct setting for operating an LNBF.

2. Ok, you are using a DiSEqC switch. What switch port is connected to C-band section of the LNBF?

3. What switch port is connected to C-band section of the LNBF?

4. In the 9000i, in each C-band satellite install menu is the correct DiSEqC 1.0/1.1 port selected to set the signal path to the C-band LNB section of the LNBF?

5. In the 9000i, in each Ku-band satellite install menu is the correct DiSEqC 1.0/1.1 port selected to set the signal path to the KU-band LNB section of the LNBF?

I think the voltage settings are correct if I understand you correctly.
In my message 16, I posted what was shown on the Asc1.
I purchased the Asc1 in 7-2016. At that time I had the wires to the LNBF
reversed. You directed me how to correct that error and I did and have not
touched the LNBFs since then. Everything worked fine up to about 3 or 4 days ago.

For C band Diseqc1.0 is set to port1.
Diseqc1.1 is disabled
For KU band Diseqc1.0 is set to port2
Diseqc1.1 is disabled
Thank you much for your help.

This is what I see on the Titanium Asc1:
Lnb Type Set:
H 18v V:13v
H 13v V:18V
Fixed on 18v

Then If I click enough to go to the next screen
on the Asc1 I see this:
Fixed on 13v
save
quit

Now I am even more confused.
