wasnt live buffers added in the last hr2x update? how do i use it?

thanks, will definitely be trying it out tonight

Ok, guys....I've been waiting to ask this question  They say there's no such thing as a dumb question so here goes...

I've used the "Double-Play" buffer and it's great but how do you turn it off? I know before you press the 'down' key twice you are prompted to cancel if desired but how do you turn it off after you've been using DP for a while? I have the HR22.

It's not a big deal to me to turn it off since it gets shut off (I assume) after you turn off your box but just curious.

If you dont use double play with in 2 hours of the the last time you switch buffers it will turn it self off.

Stone,

Thanks, I wondered if it was turned off by a timeout/non-use trigger.

I hadn't used it recently....sort of forgot about it until this thread popped up. The HRxx DVR's have so many cool features included it's hard for me to keep up :D

The only thing I wonder about is the need to transfer a few of my recorded movies from the DVR onto a DVD-R in case my HR22 dies and has to be replaced but I think I read somewhere on this Bd (or the other one) where the movies are copy-protected. I was thinking about finally getting a standalone DVR for that reason but if I can't copy them from the DTV HRxx box then there's no need.

You can put your DVR in standby for 5 minutes and it's off or do a System Test and DoublePlay resets or when a recording is scheduled and turns on it's off.;)
