And my OTA DVR will not lose anything, even if Dish went under.
That is today, it is widely known with ATSC 3.0 broadcasters can set expiration dates on recordings or even block them outright, it gives them the capability.

I remember setting it up a while ago, but don't see the local now, nor how to authenticate.
You just go to Channels and your local should be the top selection. But you do have to sub to Peacock Premium Plus to get it.

Kinda tells you why I turned against ATSC 3. I believe those "enhancements" for the customer will be illusory.

But if you want to see "My Mother the Car" on subchannel eleventy-three, you'll be in business.

PS: I have other options, including hundreds of books and a local library.

Ah, ok, just Peacock Premium. Mostly use it for EPL games.

It's Premium Plus, Premium won't get you there.

I get my local TV news on Hulu, even though I dont have Hulu Live:

I don't have anything similar for ABC on my Hulu. Maybe it has to be available on TV Everywhere to show up. My locals are not on that. But my Starlink IP address would show Denver or Dallas. But maybe they use my subscription zip code.

I am DVRing my local ABC news-only stream using Channels DVR though. And I get ABC OTA from another market that is closer.
