Looking 4 dish base size and mast size

Hi,

Does the base (shaped a bit like a butterfly tie) and the Mast that hold a dish are all the time the same size regarding the size of the dish?

I mean for FTA dish from 18 inch up to 47 inch dish.

If not Can I have some dimensions please.

An 18 inch dish will use 1 5/8" mast/pole while the 30-36" dishes generally use a 2 3/8" mast/pole. It all just depends on the dish itself.

Some fta dishes have a 2" mast diameter.

It really varies depending on the dish weight

DBS dishes use 1 5/8"......I have an old sony DSS dish that is smaller than that
30" can use anywhere between 1 5/8-2 3/8
anything bigger than say 35" will use a 2 3/8

my 30" Hotdish and 30" winegard use a 1 5/8
my DIrecPC dishes (one is 39x23..the other 36x20) both use 2 3/8

A lot of manufacturers overseas use the 50 mm standard, which translates to two inches.

1-5/8" is nominal 1-1/4 inch pipe; 2-3/8" is nominal 2 inch pipe.
