ok well I'm a liar...I was sick of working so I went out and put the dish on AMC4 and did an all scan and now those channels are in the channel manager with the $ sign next to them and some have the audio.....what can I say D'oah D'oah D'oah.
oh well what can you do...hahaha

Could you give an example where it would be beneficial to use a network search? (sorry - I don't understand this well enough to ask a sensible question. :) )
 
The last time I did a network scan is when I scanned nimiq2 for any free stuff. In my Coolsat they didnt have all 32 transponders listed so I just did a network scan and it found the others.

I havent tried it on something like IA5 (where there are a few transponders with the same symbol rate)
