losing signal through motor

Is there a way to help losing signal through the motor (SG2100).

If there is a week transponder where you will just get pixelation or no video, but run the receiver cable right from diseqc switch to the receiver, you get a stronger signal -to where you can watch it very well. Seems at least 4-8%.

Any way to fight this signal drop when going through the motor? or put it up to living with it for convenience of not having to run outside to turn the dish.

Yes, it's been discussed several times here on the forum.
Powering the motor independently was popularized quite a few years ago.
One fellow used an external laptop power supply.
Since they put out a couple of amps at around 19 volts, those supplies are ideal. ;)
A plus, is that the motor always got the higher voltage all the time, and so the motor never moved slowly on 12 volts.

Other authors have modified the motor or added an additional power inserter so the motor is still powered from the coax.
