Loss of picture

Ok here is one for all of us to figure out. I just upgraded my stand alone receiver in my office with a Directv D10. Everything is working just fine except when I turn on my light switch to my office or the hallway. The picture cuts out for a second then comes back. I checked to see if I lose the title screen but that stays, just the audio and the video goes away. Anyone have any ideas on what to do. Directv told me to get a electrician out to my house but I do not think that is needed.

Any help would be great!

Move the D10 to another outlet and test it, does it do it there too? I would still call an electrician, to avoid or diagnose another, more serious issue later.

Preferably an outlet on a different circuit.
