i tried the demo but was not sold on it

A few friends of mine have picked it up and they say its cool but is really really difficult. They also said its a renter

It got a 6.5 out of 10 from EGM from one reviewer and an 8 and 7.5 from the others.

I have it, and yes is a little harder than I thought.... The graphics are really nice and the playbility is a little hard. Overall is a good game.

Controls definitely take some getting used to after the more intuitive/tight GoW, I'll give you that. As I've said elsewhere on this title, playing it after Gears was like playing Onimusha (Capcom as well) after playing Metal Gear Solid 2, it showed how finely tuned the controls were on the latter.

But I think, with some adjustment/time given you'd get into it and that it's a solid title. Nice graphics, fun B-movie sci-fi setting/story.

I thought it was pretty cool killing all of those bugs myself!!
I'm waiting for it to come in used so I can get it cheaper than $60, though.
