all,

is there a list somewhere downloadable that indicates at a minimum satellite name, and its orbital position (Longitude) for geosynchronous media sats?

something i can use to massage and import...

where is the authoritative source for this data..

thanks..

If you go to www.geosatfinder.com and enter your latitude and longitude then click lookup, on the next page you will see a link called All common satellites (pdf). Click that to print or save it. The PDF lists satellite names/locations as well as the true azimuth, compass reading, dish elevation and lnbf skew for your location. Not sure about directly importing it but I am sure there are programs out there to extract the data. :)

thanks,

im writing an application to parse this data, but it needs to be up-line from where these sites are getting it.

yea there must be some sort of master list somewhere.
