Might be better to turn the caps off.
Metro TV comes in very strong on the Eastern Coast. I am receiving it without putting in the dielectric plate in my lnb with a +90 signal.(6ft dish & Coolsat 4000) Lyngsat shows it with Europe/Africa beam, however the transponder is very strong to eastern US.

Depending on your line of site/horizon view there is also I-905 (24.5W) ORTM-Mali (4111L 5750) & RTB-Burkina Faso (4193R 5179) that I can receive with a circular lnb. If you have a bigger dish (10-12ft) you might be able to get I-907 (27.5W) NTA-Nigeria, etc which I cannot get on my 6 ft dish.
However it is much easier to get some of these channels (OTRM, RTS1-Senegal, and others) on Ku, with a C-ku lnb combo, if you don't have line of site and could get Galaxy19 (97W), even though you specified C band only.

Yes you're right Iceberg, I assume that all NSS/Intelsat was circular.

i think pretty much everything east of 37.5w is circular. my LOS only goes to 30w maybe. and i havent played much with it but ive had decent results west of 37.5w with a dmx741/u on a 10 foot mesh when i did try. when i get my 12 footer going ill see how the siamese scalar performs.

crackt out,.
