METV is Back

I am wondering if I am seeing it because I am a beta tester? I only looked as the other person posted they have it now, and I had it too. I don't know if the other user is a member of the Beta Program as well.

If its not generally available yet then I do apologize. But it does appear to be coming soon, which makes me happy as now I can record Svengoolie with guide data. My local TV has no guide data on my Hopper.
I have it here in Kentucky.

I checked as far as I could and the streaming and ota feeds are the same in the Birmingham DMA.
The programming shows are the same, it is the episodes that may be substituted. Again, I noticed this with a Matlock episode yesterday. Both the steaming and OTA feeds were showing Matlock, but the episodes were different between the OTA and streaming feeds.

And, as I mentioned in my earlier post, when this happens, the streaming feed does not have the MeTV logo in the lower righhand screen. It is blank with no logo.

I could be wrong, but from what I can tell, substituting a different streaming episode versus the OTA episode is rare and for the most part, the OTA and streaming feeds are the same.

Streaming guide only goes a couple of days out. Then check back later if you go three days. Noticed this at my buddy's house when I tried to set up a timer for Saturday night shows on Metv.
I was able to set a timer for Svengoolie by search for Svengoolie. :)

Already had MeTv with my Seattle locals on Dish so this isn't anything new for me (but I'm happy for the rest of you). Direct just got MeTV Toons and I would be VERY interested in that one if Dish can get it!

Someone in another forum is saying they do not get see this channel. Is it possible that this is not delivered if a subscriber gets their local MeTV through DISH?

What is wrong with that?
The problem with streaming feeds is that it defeats whole purpose of the Hopper 3 with all of its sat tuners. Recording streaming channels is very limited because you can only record 2 or 3 streams simultaneously and is dependent on your internet bandwidth. Also, not everyone has unlimited internet service.

Still using a very capable 722K so always have the two recording limit!

Its great to see this if finally back. I am kind of a purest when it comes to satellite television. If I am going to subscribe to satellite, I want all my channels delivered via satellite.
