for the last 2-3 wks or so i have been getting this message. . .

"sorry for the interuption.

There is no need to call us.
we are working to
have this channel back
as soon as possible.

you may still watch non-local programming by pressing the guide
button on your remote control
and selecting another channel."

has any got this message?
what could be the problem?

Run check switch and tell us what it's showing you. The message is a built in one that is BS.

If you have a dual tuner receiver, you will receive ;) no end of grief if you leave one tuner unplugged. How do you know you have no switches in the system? If you have the most common setup (Dish 500 with DPP twin) then you most certainly DO have a switch inside the DPP twin. Or any twin, for that matter.

because i set it up myself. . .

Receiver (ViP222k)
Coaxial Cable
Aspen eagle LNB (ONLY 1 LNB with dual output)
LNB mounted on dish
dish pointed at DN @ 119w orbital slot

why should anyone have grief if TV2 is NOT setup?

Aspen Eagle, eh? OK, does that have two outputs? If it does, then run the other output to your second tuner and you should see the message about the 2nd tuner go away.

The issue is not "TV2" as that is part of the Home Distribution Output and does NOT need to be connected to anything.

The issue is the SAT 2 input. All Dual tuner Dish DVR's must have both SAT inputs connected to functioning switches/LNBF's in order to work reliably. This was confirmed on a Tech Forum a long time ago.
