I have Dish DVR 625 and I noticed that I have less hours remainging then I'm supposed to when I add up the length of what I have recorded and subtracted from a 100 hours. I have a couple of movies recorded but I still have more available recording space. Is this because of when I pause something? If it is please tell me how to delete the paused material or whatever.

The pause buffer is separate space from your "events" space.
The discrepancy is usually because the 100 hour figure is an estimate. Record a lot of high-movement stuff on a premium channel and it will use a lot more space than the same number of minutes of the "Congratulations you have a Dish500" channel.
Finally, for some reason, even if you erase everything, some DVRs will never show the 'original' amount of free space again.
