Josh Johnson looked terrible on the mound in Philly last night. I wonder if he will ever regain his stuff. Miami is riding on his rather impressive shoulders...he'd better do it!

Yeah, he has not looked good. He has lost a little velocity on his fast ball too. But, I will say he will get hotter as the weather warms up. He is also coming off shoulder injury where he was shutdown for most of the season. To me, his issue has been his location of pitches...EVERYTHING has been belt high. EVERYTHING.
I mean he is still throwing in the low to middle 90s with his fastball(when he was healthy, it was more like mid to upper 90s)...but everything passing through the strike zone have been belt high..and EVERYONE can hit the fastball when it is belt high!:(

The first TEN Red Sox batters in the bottom of the ninth have reached. That will probably cost Beckett his opportunity for a complete game, because even though he has only thrown about 95 pitches, he's been sitting for about an hour now.

Yesterday has some exciting games.

Rockies walk-off with 2 outs in the 9th in the pouring rain. The rain actually helped them win as the tying run got on by hit by pitch due to the wet ball slipping out of the pitcher hand.
Dodgers win again with Kemp and Ethier going back to back and Kemp hitting two more HRs to lead the league in RBIs and HRs
Giants walk off due to a bad call by the ump (ball 3 to Theriot was actually strike 3) and a throwing error
KC and Cleveland had an interesting game
Boston came from behind to beat the Rays

While I respect everything Jackie Robinson did ....

Do we REALLY have to have EVERYONE wearing the number 42 and NO NAME on the back no less.

I have NO CLUE who's on base or in the field today.

YES WE DO! End of story. You can deal with it for one day. Think of how the PBP guys feel but they are dealing with it with reverance to Jackie.

If you really did you wouldn't have typed the last two sentences...:o

Is there a problem with putting names on the uniforms.
Are you watching the game at the ballpark, or on TV?? If it's TV, between the talking heads telling you who the players are, and having enough close-ups to recognize their faces, there's no excuse, and no names needed.

Embarrassing.

Exactly. It's not like we're talking about an NFL game, and the entire offensive line is wearing #42 with no names on their back.
