Nothing good happens at 2:30am....

Detroit Tigers left fielder Delmon Young has been arrested on a hate crime assault charge after police say he attacked a group of men and yelled anti-Semitic epithets.

Police say Young was standing outside of the Hilton New York, not far from Times Square. A group of about four Chicago tourists staying there were approached by a panhandler wearing a yarmulke. As the group walked up to the hotel doors, Young started yelling anti-Semitic epithets. Police say it's not clear who he was yelling at, but he got into a tussle with one of the Chicago group, who sustained scratches to his elbows.

Police were called, and Young was arrested. He was first hospitalized because he was believed to be intoxicated.

Can his ass! He's a notorious bad-attitude repeat offender.

That seems a little extreme to me. While I can't stand the fact that him and Cabrera are starting to give the team a bad reputation I don't think he has been in trouble to many times. I may be wrong but the only other thing I can think of was the bat throwing incident. Both of these incidents are inexcusable. The bat throwing thing happened 6 years ago while he was in the minor leagues.

I would agree with you if I felt like he was constantly getting in trouble but 2 incidents in 6 years doesn't fit that bill to me. I do think he should be suspended for somewhere between 5 on the low end and 15 games on the high end. I think anything more than that would be to much. This was only a misdemeanor. This isn't Plaxico Burress shooting himself in the leg or anything like that.

I am curious, what has Cabrera done?

In February of 2011, Cabrera had a DUI arrest. Before that arrest he threatened patrons and employees of a local restaurant:

In 2009 police responded after Cabrera got into a physical altercation with his wife. GM Dave Dombrowski had to pick up Cabrera from the police station after that incident.

YEP... LOL! Miggy of old. As I stated before, his drinking issue has been around since he 1st came up from the minors when he was a Marlin.

EDIT: Now that I read the report and realize it was a local restaurant, how could they NOT know who he was? Interesting..

Remember, this was beginning of Last year, not current. (the Miggy incident)

Bryce Harper to debut on Strasmas, Saturday. Should make for brisk business at the Dodger's walk-up window.

Yet ANOTHER blown save for the Angels who have just been swept by the Rays in Tampa. Forget about Albert, the bullpen will be thier downfall this season.

Remember the year they had their worst start ever was the year they won their only WS.

I know, thanks. Everyone with any postive feelings left is relying heavily on that stat. We have now matched it with last night's meltdown at the Jake. It can only get better.

I might be going to National's Park (if that's even the name of it) tomorrow because Joel Osteen the smiling preacher, is going to be there spreading the prosperity gospel and I sure could use some prosperity right now. The tickets online are $15 for seats anywhere, which actually cost $22.50 with fees, but then the parking is another $25, which means that the people running this are going to make a lot of prosperity off me if I actually go there.

Another thing to consider is that even though their bullpen as blown 6 saves to lead MLB, with this offense they should seldom be in one run games to begin with. Once their offense performs as it should and will many of these games will no longer be save situations as the will be going into the 9th with bigger leads. Even with a poor performing bullpen, they should still be winning more games.

THANK GOD! The Angels have won their first 1 run game of the season. Haren pitched a gem and (holding my breath) Downs came in for the 9th to close it out. There is no 4-17 record. Perhaps the worst is over.

Oh, yes ...

I was just reminding people that this particular incident didn't happen like yesterday like the Young one did (few days now).

Tigers are doing a fine job of melting down all by them selves.

They are taking too much after the Lions as far as (lack of) discipline goes.
