Good point. I can understand of the other complaints he had("too much of pitchers park"..."they will bring in the fences in 2 years tops)..and to a certain degree, agree with him. But to b%#ch about the looks?

You what I found out yesterday? 2 things, my partial season ticket package comes with $10 in food and/or drink credit on every single ticket for every game. 2ndly, they will have 1 concession stand/area in each level selling that visiting teams type of food that they sell in there ball park...how freaking cool is that?

When the pirates come to town if they sell Primanti Bros make sure you try it.

I was there when they played the Red Sox, it is a really nice ballpark.

It's even better now since the subway goes there now, no more long walks over the bridge to get your car.

It may be a beautiful park, but that green is difficult to take.

It is TV view. I tell that when you are AT the stadium, you really do not notice it because you are busy looking at the game or other aspects of the stadium.

It is official now. I want to know why? It is not offense they need, it is pitching, particularly relieve pitching. So they trade relief to get more offense? And at his age, Byrd is not an upgrade from what they are currently platooning.

I am glad they won't be needing his offense because I can do better than he can. His swing is just horrible with the nastiest double hitch I have ever seen.

Josh Hamilton had his 7 game hitting streak stopped last night in the nightcap of a day-night double header. Today he had a home run in his first at bat. This guy is REALLY good. I think it's going to be the Rangers and Tigers in the ALCS.

Looks like tonight's 8:00 PM Yankees/Red Sox game will be rained out, but there is no alternate game available. Is it normal for there not to be an available back-up game for Sunday night baseball
?

Looking ahead at Sunday nights, it would appear that there is normally only one game scheduled for 8:00pm ET. Most teams hate playing on Sunday night games, unless they happen to have Monday off, or are the Texas Rangers who play Sunday night home games in the summer to avoid the heat.

I was figuring that MLB would at least schedule a west coast twilight game on Sunday nights to cover this contingency.

And from a competing forum:

Red Sox Pitcher Mark Melancon's Whole-Home Audio System

Before the start of the 2012 MLB season, Red Sox relief pitcher Mark Melancon had an 11-zone Niles audio system installed in his Texas home.

By Grant Clauser, April 13, 2012

What does a professional baseball player do months before he has to trade uniforms and play for a team in different city? Get a high-end home audio system installed in his house, of course.

That's what new Red Sox relief pitcher Mark Melancon did just before he packed up for Florida for spring training. Previously with the Houston Astros, Melancon still makes his home in Texas. He recently had a new Niles ICS whole-house audio system installed by Modia.

I heard a promo on WGN for tonight's White Sox. A's game, and it referred to the A's as Coco Crisp and the Oakland Athletics. Man, that is one sorry team when its biggest draw is a guy who is hitting .156... and probably not disappointing anyone in doing so. Josh Reddick leads the team with a .266 batting average, albeit with only 3 RBI in sixteen games, and overall, the team is hitting just .210 and has scored just 52 runs in 17 games, or 3.06 runs per game.

Bet they can't wait until Manny is activated....

Marlin's pitching both good(starting pitching has been fantastic) and terrible(blown saves, 2 and 3 walks in innings). Tonight, they gift wrapped the victory to the Mets.:rolleyes:
