I see that Red Sox rookie outfielder Nava has six hits in his last fifty at-bats (.120). Looks like the outfield log jam caused by the return of Ross, Crawford and Ellsbury might be cleared by sending Nava back to Pawtucket.

Meanwhile, rookie third baseman Will Middlebrooks is hitting .214 over the same, three week span.

Good news for the Red Sox. After a rocky start, Lester has settled down and has only given up a hit an inning in the third and fourth innings...

Well, the A's swept the Yankees which Im happy about. And speaking of getting swept, the Mets got swept by the Dodgers. Sandy, get some help for the bullpen already, geez!! There pitching overall has a 7 ERA. 7!! There bullpen is awful and there starting pitching is so-so now that Johan and Dillion Gee are on the DL. They have lost 10 out of 12.

Reds swept the Brewers

8 series this weekend ended in a sweep and possibly on more tonight could

Good! The Marlins are playing no enthusiasm nor guts.

they didn't look like they wanted to be there. That pitcher on Sunday did a good job but his team around him didn't do anything.

I guess the Reds are going to have to keep sweeping teams until they can get a comfortable lead. The are just 1/2 a game from the best record in the NL.

I watched the Yankees/A's games and I have to tell you that the A's are the spunkiest, hardest playing, let it all hang out team I have seen in quite some time. Even though they are "the enemy" they are a joy to watch play the game.
