Brave fans hardly ever sell out, the don't even sell out thier playoff games.

Exactly ... sad but true ...

Atlanta fans are generally apathetic toward all their teams.

Sadly, the Braves fans should appreciate going to the games and the playoff games. I mean the Braves made the playoffs 14yrs. in a row. Do you know how many teams would want that especially the fans? Yet Braves fans dont go. As far as regular season games, Im sure there are some stadiums with empty seats all the time.

Quite honestly....nobody expected this to happen. Just like nobody expected the Nationals to be in 1st place or the Pirates fighting for a playoff spot....or the Phillies in dead last place.

Sh!7 happens....:-(

Don't say nobody. I predicted the Pirates to have a winning record and the Nats to battle for the playoffs.

I thought the Phils would be better than they are and my Dodgers to stink. I was wrong there.

Could last forever. Reds lost, but the Pirates lost too so they are still up.

I'm seeing eerie similarities to last year...pitching appears to be starting to fall apart. C'mon Buccos!

One of the problems with the Braves is that during their 14 year playoff runs, they'd always seem to have the best regular season record in the MLB among teams,& then ALWAY get knocked out in the first round of the playoffs. If the Braves ever make it past the 1st round of the playoffs, the fans will come.

Im not following the NL Central that much but kudos to the Pirates and the Reds. Nice to see some new blood for a change. How many years have the Cards dominated the NL Central. Nice for the Reds. They made the playoffs a few yrs. ago, good for them. As far as the Pirates go, if they make the playoffs, how can you not root for them? 20 yrs. they've been lousy. They deserve a break.

If Cardinals don't make playoffs and Pirates do I will be rooting for them :)

The Angels are pounding the Rangers in over 100 degree heat for a second night. Phat Albert hit a homer that was outta sight and that kid Trout is about to have a monumental finish to the month of July!!!!

Now...how do we cool off those pesky A's???????????

The Red Sox trail the Angels by four games and Oakland by three and a half in the wildcard race. What works to the Red Sox disfavor is that Oakland has nineteen games remaining against teams with losing records whereas the Red Sox only have fourteen such games. On the other hand, the Red Sox have nine games left against Baltimore, which, in spite of its winning record, is a relatively weak team that should be headed south in the standings when the Red Sox play them

The White Sox have 25 games remaining against teams that presently have losing records, and Detroit has 28. The Red Sox still have to climb over four teams that have better records than they do, and so even though they are only three and a half games out of the playoffs with nearly sixty games remaining, it is touigh to make up four games on five teams when those teams play a lot of cupcakes and since each time they play each other, one has to win.
