I put that squarely on Farrell's shoulders, one of his few mistakes of the season. IMO, Peavy got pulled too soon.

Too soon? He never should have started the inning.

I agree. A younger pitcher (i.e. Doubront) would not have started the inning. It's well known Peavy doesn't like coming out of games and Farrell gave him the short leash, probably hoping he would get a couple quick outs....
