Today I modified the mount on my 84cm ADTH dish. With G-18 about toast I need to find something new to point at. Problem is I could only see a couple sats to the east and then the dish hits my garage. Well I had my machinist friend turn an extension pipe on his lathe that interlocked into the original. With this extra couple feet of pipe I can now see the whole arc. I put the dish back on g-18 right now because the weather has been raining on and off all day. I will repoint at a later time. I took some pictures for you guys to enjoy.

Oh, yea, looks like a good improvement. - :up

Have you considered a small motor, now that you have a clear view?
Should swing the ADTH just fine.

I've thought about that and may do that down the road. Right now though I thinking of pointing at two satellites, AMC-1 and I don't know what else. The dish has 2 LNB's on it now and wondering what would be a good combo with AMC-1 ? Any suggestions

Moved dish to new Satellites today.

Today I moved the dish to 2 new satellites G-19 and AMC-4. I boresighted G-19 and used the offset on AMC-4. What I noticed is at 4 degree spacing vs 6 like I had it before the lnbf's are quite close together. I had no problems finding the birds even with the offset lnbf. If you follow simple rules and use static angles to start with you should always have success quite easy, at least that's my experience. Getting the offset to work was simple I waved it at the dish till I found signal, took 15 seconds. All in all it's working quite well :D
