I've been ignoring my FTA system for a while and just started to tinker with it again -- I'm amazed at how much I FORGOT -- it was like starting from scratch. My equipment:

Edision OS Mio+ 4K (running TNAP 5.1)
GEOSATpro 36"
Stab Rotor Sat HH90

I was able to figure most functions out once again, but one things has always perplexed me: While in DiSEqC mode, if I attempt to use the "Step East" or "Step West" functions, the motor will sometimes take off and swing all the way to the west end of the arc, and then comes back. For the life of me, I can't figure out a pattern to it -- seems to be totally random. Could happen after one button press, or ten. Just wondering if anyone has noticed this behavior, and/or if there's a reason for it? Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

I've never noticed that. There are two positions: Movement and Fine Movement. When Movement is selected, then the motor will move continuously in one direction when you press Search West (green) until you press it again. Same for Search East (yellow). In Fine Movement, the motor should move just one bump when you press Step West (green) or Step East (yellow).

Yes, that's my assumption on how it should work. I should have clarified that I have "fine movement" selected when attempting to nudge it east or west. I wasn't sure what was happening in the beginning, but after connecting a spectrum analyzer it became obvious that it was sweeping the arc. Puzzling.
