Hi everyone! I am new here. I wanted to know what signals can I get with a motorized dish? I want to get the dish 500 and I read online that adding a motor to your dish can give you many channels from different sattelites. Basically, I want to know what signals can I get? and what are the pros and cons of having a motorized dish?

1). a dish 500 is worthless for FTA - it's too small and the LNBs are circular
2). FTA is available on numerous satellites across the arc, using linear LNBs
3). you'll want a 36" dish for real FTA
4). motors are great, letting you point at many satellites for a real cornucopia of programming
5). the only "con" of a motor, is the difficulty of initial set-up... but many newbies come here, get taught, and succeed

Here is a beginners list of real FTA services.
When you are ready for a more serious list, use ours here known as: TheList
"FTA" is not related to hacking any of the pay services.
