Mounting a Dish 500' from home... Help...

Hello all,

I have a client that does not want a dish on his main house, however he wants it placed on his guest home. The guest house is 500' away (house to house) so there would probably be 550' when all is said and done.

I am not confident at all that RG6 or 11 will fit the bill. Is there a way for me to get fiber to work? Has anyone done this on the residential side of things?

If so, what gear would you recommend to get the job done? Thanks!

A new reasonable customer would be the best solution. How would fiber carry the voltage to the LNB?

That is something that I thought of. I am not sure. How comfortable can I feel using an inline amp and RG11 for a distance of 500'?

I've used two inline amps on a 950-1450 mHz system using 500' of RG-6.
