And I'm renting a house for a while. Not sure if I'll be able to get E* or D*(might have to get Comcast). Anyway, if I were able to get E*, and the 922 isn't available yet, is there anything I can do to get a free upgrade when it is available? I'd hate to sub on August 1st and then it comes out say August 5th and I have to pay a bunch of money to upgrade.

On a side note, is there a way to find out which cable providers are available with only a zip code? Google didn't help too much

What's the closest major city to where you're renting? I can take your zip and get a location from it.

Where is HD is a quick way to see what providers and what HD channels are available in your area. Not 100% accurate, but it will at least give you the carriers.

Thanks for that. Apparently I have U-Verse in the new area. If I cannot get a 922, I will most likely choose U-Verse

I wouldn't expect the 922 to be available. If we're lucky maybe sometime in the Fall or early Winter.
