Hello:
The last couple days I have had a problem with MS-91-The Huntington Beach feed with classical station WCPE-It's coming up scrambled (Power Ku) on my Fortec Star Dynamic..Also, a lot of my channels are coming up one Satellite location over from where they are supposed to be. I dont mind that so much as long as most of the channels come in..But the MS91 thing has me stumped..

working here

Sounds like transponder overload. My Pansat does that too

go through and remove any transponders that dont have channels on them to clean out the memory. That should help it :)

Do a rescan. You should come up with 3 or 4 channels labled MS and a number. One of them is clear. If that doesn't work, scan it in on the radio side and then transfer it the TV side. At least that's what I could do with the Satworks and the Traxis. Anything that could be done with the Sayworks should be able to be done with any higher priced reciever.

Glad to see there is at least one WCPE fan besides me. :up

UPDATE: I just scanned AMC 1 vertical and came up with the channels on the TV side, including the Huntington Beach channel, which is working here. The regular WCPE feed came up on the radio side as MS 81.

OK, here is what I have done: scan in a Ku channel on the TV side that you are not interested in then do the following:

1. Go to that channel and pull up channel edit
2. Enter FR 11942, SR 20000, VPID 0000 ( if 0s don't work try 1111) APID 5417, PCR 0000 (or 1111)
3. Hit enter

This should give you a dark screen with WCPE audio on the TV side. Or you can just leave it on the radio side. I did this because I am to lazy to switch back and forth. The less switching I do is good because I am afraid I will screw something up. I've used this method for about 5 years.

Tony: Don't worry about me posting WCPEs location, they promote their broadcasting location on their web site and over the air. They WANT us to listen to them. Boy, ain't that a change.

I am starting to delete transponders-Beginning at 72 degrees W and working my way across..Am now at 97 degrees W..This may seem elementary but first what does this accomplish?, second what do I do next?

some receivers can hold X amount of transponders (Pansat & Fortec being notorious for this) . When you continually do blind scans that fills up and then the receiver starts doing wacky things

removing some TP's fixes the issue.

You aren't by chance using DiseqC-1.2, and deleted a satellite?????
If you do that with that receiver, the positions of all satellites saved with DiseqC-1.2 will be shifted, even if the sat you deleted wasn't one you saved via DiseqC-1.2, and it might even be a sat that you never programmed, and didn't want.
If you use DiseqC-1.2 with that receiver, I have a program that might help figure out what happened, but you'll probably need to use a binary editor to actually correct the situation, but it's probably easier to just reprogram the positions manually.
If you aren't using DiseqC-1.2 and deleted a sat, then you might be out of sync. Often you can just tell it to go to it's zero position, and that fixes things, but other times, you have to do a real hard reset/resync, which is a slightly different procedure with different motors. On my SG2100, I tell it to go to zero, then manually move it with buttons so it is actually on zero, then do a hard reset. Other motors are different.

Done deleting TP's for now..Do I now reboot everything and start from scratch? Or do I just do a new powerscan..Thanks for all the info thus far..
